Lobsters can live out of water 24 to 48 hours. They should be kept cool with gel ice packs and moist with wet newspaper. We pack your lobsters with gel packs and newspaper so they can be left in the packaging until you are ready to cook them. If you can fit the box in the refrigerator or somewhere cool, even better!
