Unlike any other direct crank charger, LED-98 (Outback) and LED-99 (SuperBattery) can store the power you create for later use. This means that you do not have to continuously crank the unit in order to generate power. Once the unit is fully charged (off an AC charger or by a few minutes of cranking by hand) it will then hold the charge for as long as two weeks.
