How long will the hot air balloon ride be?
Our hot air balloon flights average just over an hour, although time in the air can range anywhere from 45 minutes to two hours. Duration of flight depends on many variables such as wind and weather conditions, potential landing sites, daylight remaining, payload, altitude, temperature and other situational considerations. We certainly love to fly, and will try to extend the flight as long as possible. The ultimate decision on flight length is based on safety and is determined solely by the pilot-in-command. The whole experience usually takes about three hours from beginning to end, so plan on being with us for at least that long. Due to the unpredictability inherent in ballooning, we cannot be responsible for late appointments afterwards. Come equipped with a sense of adventure!
