How long will the EYPS training take and is it full-time?
This will depend on a candidate’s previous experience and qualifications. There are four pathways to achieving Early Years Professional Status (EYPS), time commitments for which are as follows: • the validation pathway: six and a half days assessment over a period of three months; • the short EPD: part-time for three months, followed by six and a half days validation over a period of three months; • the long EPD: part-time for twelve months, followed by six and a half days validation over a period of three months; • the full-time training pathway: full-time for twelve months, including six and a half days validation. More information about each of the pathways can be found in our pathways at a glance page.
