How long will the battery last in the Sensor/Transmitter?
The battery in the Sensor/Transmitter can last up to 1 year depending on if the Sensor/Transmitter is set to battery saver mode. Temperature can also affect the life of any battery. Operating a battery at cold temperature will reduce its life. • How do I use the dry contacts on the bottom of the Receiver/Speaker to activate an external device? There are four “C” relays (aka terminal outputs) on the bottom of the VA-6000S Base Unit. When a Sensor is triggered, you have the option of activating an external device hooked up to one of these dry contacts (in addition to playing the message alert). The four terminal outputs (labeled NO.1 -> NO.4) correlate to message Zone #1 -> Zone #4 on the Speaker/Receiver. Note: These “C” relays do not provide power but function as a switch.
