How long will the battery in my PASCAL tonometer last?
The battery packs available from SMT will last at least one month or more, depending on how frequently the tonometer is used. Battery lifetime has been optimized by automatically switching the tonometer off if not used, and by alluminating the display only for important messages. A battery warning will appear as a black square in the upper right corner of the LCD, indicating that power is left for a few more measurements. When a second black square appears in the lower right corner, you should exchange the battery immediately. As an alternative to disposable battery packs, a rechargeable batteries kit is also available, containing two rechargeable batteries and a charger. These rechargeables can be expected to last for a few hundred recharging cycles before they have to be replaced.
