How long will my appointment take?
Appointments typically last up to two hours for people to receive clarity and understanding. Mini sessions for quick answers can be 30 minutes. It is all according to your needs. If there is processing that is required, then time is needed for completion. Medical intuitive sessions include body scanning and coaching on what is needed to balance your system.
You should plan on an hour for your appointment. The actual scanning time will be 20-30 minutes. We allow extra time in case your baby is uncooperative we will be able to have you do some things that we find helpful in these situations ie drinking juice or soda, eating chocolate, walking around etc. Can friends or family come with me for my appointment? We welcome your family and friends to share the joy of this once in a lifetime experience. We have comfortable seating for 6 adults. Children are welcome but with VERY FEW exceptions become restless and bored very quickly. Many parents cannot really enjoy seeing the new baby while wrestling a crying toddler, trying to entertain a preschooler etc.
Plan on spending about 45 minutes with us. Depending on the package you choose, your 3D/4D ultrasound session will be between 15– 45 minutes, but please arrive at your scheduled time. Our viewing room serves as our waiting room before and after your session. We will have you fill out your paperwork while family/friends are getting comfortable. By the time you leave, you will have your DVD and your pictures ready to take with you!
First visits and second opinion appointments usually take 2-6 hours. The time varies from clinic to clinic, and from patient to patient. Please feel free to ask the clinic staff person when scheduling your appointment. Except in emergency situations, you should not expect to be admitted to the hospital on the day of your first visit. You may already have had many medical tests. Your UMCCC physician will review your previous test results, and may use them and/or may order new tests. We occasionally need to schedule follow-up x-rays, laboratory studies, or biopsies. If so, these studies will be discussed with you at the time of your visit. Most cancer treatment takes place in outpatient facilities and does not require overnight hospital stays. The amount of time you will need to stay varies from person to person. Your doctor will give you more specific information based on your individual treatment plan. See The UMHS Patient Visitor Guide for more information on Getting Here, What to Bri
