How long will live brine shrimp live in my fish tank?
You need to set up a brine shrimp hatchery of some sort, use water with aquarium salt and just a little bit of baking soda dissolved in it, aerate the eggs in this mix for 24-48 hours (depending on how warm the water is) and once the eggs hatch, you need to separate them from their egg shells (which can kill fish if they eat the shells). Newly hatched brine shrimp are tiny though so bigger fish won’t bother trying to catch them. If you want adult brines, it’ll take 3-6 weeks for them to mature and you’d have to keep their tank clean and aerated and feed them wee tiny food since they “absorb” food through their leg openings. And you can’t overcrowd them. If you are keeping a brackish water tank, brines can live in it for weeks if the fish dont’ get them. In a full marine tank, they can also probably survive a long time if nobody eats them and there is sufficient food in the water. In a freshwater tank they will only live a few hours (they need the salt). If you have shrimp or snails in
