How long will it take to see results from wellness coaching?
On one level you will begin to see results immediately. After your very first session you will walk away with a new vision of your wellness as well as three month goals and your first set of weekly goals. How quickly things change after that depends on the complexity of the behaviors you wish to modify as well as the stage of change that you are at in relation to the behavior. Moving through the various stages and reaching maintenance takes from 3-6 months. More challenging behaviors might take a year or more to reach this level. Changes may also be more rapid at the beginning of coaching as you dive into your wellness goals and taper off a bit as your healthy behaviors become more habitual. Wellness vision goals are set based on a three month time-line to be close enough to feel a sense of urgency and long enough to allow for change to happen.
