Not very long, I guess. You can just got one of those templates from https://www.templatemonster.com for example, and try out different things on it. It will help you learn the basics and different techniques much faster. Try it out too 😉

You should be able to learn the very basics in a few hours. But because WordPress and Thesis have a lot of capability, it’s possibly to continue learning new features as long as you’re interested in learning.
