The first time a respondent completes a recall is likely to take longer than subsequent recalls. Based on limited pilot testing, it is estimated that a recall will take 20 – 30 minutes to complete, depending on the complexity of a respondent’s intake the previous day and how quickly he or she learns the software. The length of time required to complete ASA24 is being more thoroughly assessed in an upcoming study.
