In a single-user system the transaction typically takes 10-15 seconds to dial, connect, login, get the response etc. (the same as a Verifone terminal), but on a multi-user system IC Verify (DOS winpopup), PCAuthorize (windows), or MacAuthorize (Mac) is significantly faster than using individual Verifone terminals.
