How long will i need to train for a half marathon?
Depends on if you mainly want to complete it and why you’re doing it, as well as just where that current fitness level is you’re starting from. For most people, especially those just beginning, getting to a half marathon or full marathon is actually a lot more about doing the months of training and getting into a sustainable exercise routine than completing the race itself. If you’re not already running somewhat regularly, getting to a half marathon in 3 months (or less) may be pushing your luck and neglecting what should be a focus on decent training, and you’re likely risking injury more than you should. If your primary goal is completion though, you could probably get through it in September even if you had to run-walk it at the worst. I’d personally suggest setting a half marathon goal farther in the future and maybe trying something like a 10k in a few months. Until you truly start training and get in a regular routine, you’re not really going to know if the September half may be
