How long will a torn knee ligament take to heal?

The max (normal) recovery time should be about 6 months. Although some people may take longer depending on how well they rehab and the specifics of the injury and such. My acl is… well, “gone” and “flopping about in my knee” (as in completely severed) as the doctor put it and he said from the day of surgery it should be 6 months before I’m 100% (and he stressed that I would most likely be completely healed and ready to return to rugby at this point). So if you’ve seriously hurt it I’d say 6 months-ish, less if you haven’t seriously injured it. Good luck.
