How long was Billy Joels concert in Shea Stadium last night?
The concert actually started at 8:32. Lines were really long trying to get in and I guess they waited. By 8 the stadium was only about 1/2 full. I advise coming in before 730. The concert ended at 1145 – after an encore. This was my 1st ever Billy Joel concert. It was amazing. Like many others, I also kept thinking Elton John and McCartney would be there. I’d be very upset if they’re there on Friday. But, I’m sure they will be. Well, at least I got to see this show. Word of advice…..park out of Shea, around Roosevelt and 114-108 sts on the streets. The 7 stops at 111th and it is a short walk from the stadium. At the meters you can park for up to 2 hours and meters end at 7pm. 1/2 hour for each quarter. I parked for $.50. Leaving the stadium it was a mob scene trying to get to the 7 train so my friends and I just walked a few min down Roosevelt to 111th st back to the car.
