How long until the “two party system” charade is dropped?
Its not about two or more/less parties, its about power. More correctly it is about the Power Shift, which has been relentlessly going on, ever since the Internet changed the rules of engagement. We moved from an agrarian society (First Wave), to an Industrial society (Second Wave), and thereafter into the current Third Wave (see references below). In many developing (India, China, BRIC countries) or under-developed countries (in the African continent) they are transitioning from First to Second or Third waves, and from Second to Third waves simultaneously. Each wave, or wealth system, has its own social structures, power bases, legal systems, key drivers etc. Each wealth system/wave had its own ruling systems, Kings and Monarchs in the First wave, democracy in the Second wave and we are still trying(un0successfully) to make democracy adjust to the Third wave.Obviously when we have more than one wealth system/wave, in the same country, chaos and conflict is inevitable. Countries with 4 parties like Germany have the same problem. The real issue is, that Government is a parasitic entity, feeding of the people, with little or no return. There are no controls, no efficiency, no productivity, just a race of who can spend the most tax payers money. A modern state would need to install modern check and balances. Hard nosed controls, aka -you deliver or you are gone-, no tolerance. Our “leaders” can lie, falsely promise, do nothing, waste money, steal, nothing will happen to them, even if they get caught, they keep their 6 digit pensions. People need to wake up, understand the failing system and ask for intelligent change, not hot air. When do we ask the Government to pull our military, wasting billions every month, out of other countries. We the people are to lazy. Why aren’t we protesting in Washington around the White House for real change?
