How long until PepGen P-15 remodels to bone?
It varies. An area of low vascularity and little osteogenic potential will take much longer to remodel to bone than a more active site will. However, in any type of site, new bone cells begin to attach to the P15 particles almost immediately. A study of human histology shows that after 3 months, new vital bone forms onto and in-between the P15 particles. Histology also shows that in individual case studies that individual particles of any mineral based material, including autogenous bone, are usually found within the newly formed bone after periods of one year or longer (Hahn, et. al., 2003).
