How long until an encephalitis survivor recovers?
How long until she ‘gets well?’ As you can imagine, every case is different… from a touch of encephalitis which folks don’t even get diagnosed, to a very serious illness. Once a person is stabilized, the basic measurement of recovery is two years. The first six months show astounding improvement. The next six months… improvement on a regular basis. The following year, improvement continues. Recovery WILL CONTINUE after the first two years! The 24 month measurement is only a basic guideline.
