How Long To Live With Bladder Cancer And Stage 4 Non Small Cell Lung Cancer?
Well, I’m answering this question a very long time after it was posted. I know nothing about Bladder Cancer but I will tell you that my boyfriend has Stage IV NSCLC. He was diagnosed in April 2005. He is alive and cancer free today. So what did we do? We agressively surgically removed all tumors even though doctors consider this stage inoperable. He is a younger man (50) and mentally tough (an ex Marine who is committed to doing whatever it takes to live, no matter the pain involved) and spiritually grounded. His primary care provider put in on Carboplatin and Gensar. This failed within months. He was told to “go home to die.” We got a second opnion. The new oncologist was willing to fight with us. Half his left lung was removed and the tissue was tested against an array of different chemo drugs. We found the combination that worked best to kill the cancer cells given his unique DNA.
