I have done the journey in about 1 hour 20 minutes but the roads were not very busy, it was late in the evening and we may have been pushing the speed limits a little. It should take you about 1hr 45 minutes up to 2 hours and a half depending on the traffic. The best way is to head from Trieste towards Ljubljana and then turn off towards Bled.
