How long should you wait before changing a navel piercing?
It is advised that you do not change your piercing until it is fully healed. This varies from person to person and so there is not a definite healing period. If you do believe that your piercing is healed, you should seek your piercer’s advice as he would be able to guide you. Also you should find out the correct way to remove and insert the barbell or ring. Also be sure that the new jewellery is indeed safe. Do not use fake silver or other fake substances as they can discolour the area of the piercing (seek your piercer’s advise on this also).
