How long should SPEEDALIGNERS™ treatment take?
This answer depends on several factors which include the severity of the case, the doctor’s orthodontic acumen, his/her familiarity with the appliance, the patient’s age and the amount of time they actually wear their SPEEDALIGNERS™ each day. They are intended to be worn 24/7 and should be removed only to eat and brush. It is generally safe to say that SPEEDALIGNERS™ will take less time than “invisible” aligners for the same treatment. Treatment times average about 3-4 months for the types of cases it is intended for. See the Case Studies for an idea of the movement that can be expected by a doctor who is adept in adjusting the appliance. Very minimal chair time is required for each adjustment. With experience you will be able to effectively determine optimal adjustment and scheduling protocol. Though progress will occur, average treatment times will not be achieved if the appliance is not worn as prescribed.
