How long should periods last after childbirth?

I am not sure if I understand what you are asking? Once a lady gives birth it is not uncommon for them to bleed for the first 6 weeks after birth. This is not your period. This is the body expelling and healing from the child birth. Once the body is finished healing then normal periods should continue as usual. Make sure you attend your 6 week check-up with your doctor to make sure your body has healed completely and no complications have been found. Unless something is found different after the birth that wasn’t there before the birth, then all should be normal after about 6 weeks. Keep in mind this is a general time period. Each person may be different, it is not exact science so to speak. If you have concerns please call your doctor, do not think you are being silly for asking questions.
