How long should I wait to paint over my newly plastered room?
different factors will contribute to how fast plaster drys normally 2/3 days is all that is needed but it may take longer you can see when plaster is dry by the change in colour, when dry give it a coat of watered down white emulsion this is called a mist coat and you do this because new plaster soaks up paint like a sponge and it will save you a few quid, but don’t water it down to much because you will flick it everywhere, then your ready for your top coat.
