My cycles are usually 29 day cycles. I have been off birth control pills since May first. My husband and I are trying to conceive and this was our first month of trying. I was supposed to start September 5th. After three negative pregnancy tests, I chalked it up to just a late period, which NEVER happens (I am to the hour of starting). On Sunday September 9th I had a dark brown discharge. I thought I was going to start. The next morning (Monday the10th) a little brown was there when I wiped. I put in a lite tampon and proceeded with my day. After changing my tampon, I noticed there was nothing there. I waited until Tuesday, September 11th to go see my ObGyn. The urine test was unreadable and they did a beta hCG test. The beta hCG test came back “barely positive.” The doctor called and told me it was at a level 8 (the lab uses a level 5 as pregnant and anything less is negative). She said since it was so low after a missed period, she wanted to do another test on Thursday (tomorrow). We
