How long should a HomeBased Learning Day be?

0

As teachers, we plan lessons that are relevant to the learning. We do not want to provide “busy” work just for the sake of having something to do for a particular class. Our rule of thumb is the assignment time for each subject should be about the same as if it were a regular school day. For example, if reading is 45 minutes on a regular school day, then you should plan for approximately 45 minutes for reading on an HBL day. However, please understand some students work more quickly than others, so the 45 minutes is an approximation of completion time for the assignment.
