How long is too long for a 4 week old baby to be awake?

0

My baby girl is a month old today, and a few days ago, she was awake literally the whole day for 3 days straight and then slept the whole night…excluding her feedings every 3 hours. During the time she was awake…from around 11-9 she just laid looking up at the ceiling, she was not eating crazy though, still her every 2-3 hours as usuall. Everyone said my baby should be sleeping more but I’m not worried. She’s back to sleeping during the day, I think it was just her growth spurt those few days. If your worried, call the peditrician, but other than that, dont worry 🙂 O yeah, when she’s awake for so long she starts to get fussy as bed time comes and she’ll cry because she’s just so tired and can’t get to sleep, so I end up feeding her and patting her back, then I’ll put her on her belly to sleep, but after an hour or so, Once she’s completley knocked out, I turn her to her back and wrap her up in her receiving blanket for the night.
