How long is the wait to receive a guide dog and training?
A. The time will vary with each placement. Southeastern Guide Dogs’ admissions department will keep you informed of an estimated placement date during the application process. Once accepted, we take great care in matching you with the right dog which may take six months to a year, depending on available dogs. We ask our applicants to have patience, as we take extreme care to match a dog whose personality, gait, pace, and many more factors are compatible with each student.
