How long is the swelling post rhinoplasty / nose job last?
A small cast will be applied to the nose for the first week and most of the swelling will be gone by the time the cast is removed. 80% of the swelling should be improved at 6 weeks, 90% at 3 months and 95% at 6 months. The final cosmetic result is not achieved until 12 months to two years after the operation when the skin has reformed to its new framework.
