How long is the student group tour visit?
Allow at least 2.5 to 3 hours for on-site tour experience which includes guided House tour (approx 1 hour), visit to Pearl S. Buck grounds, grave site (weather permitting), and gift shop (approx 1 hour), and 30-minutes for investigative activity where students determine if artifacts in the House are from the East or the West. Where do the tour and programs take place? The Pearl S. Buck House National Historic Landmark is located at 520 Dublin Rd, Perkasie, PA 18944. Students will tour the House once occupied by Pearl S. Buck and her international family, as well as politicians, civil rights leaders, composers, authors, philanthropists, religious leaders, and artists. Interactive educational programs are conducted in the Cultural Center, the 1827 barn which was converted initially by Pearl Buck into a recreation room for her children and the community who held scout meetings, basketball games, and other local gatherings.
