How long is the recovery period after the ReSTOR® IOL procedure?
After cataract surgery, you will need two to three days to rest and recover before returning to most activities. After a few days, you will be able to return to most normal activities, such as driving and working, but your eye may be sensitive to touch and light. For a few weeks, you should avoid activities that may result in getting hit in the eye, and you should avoid allowing any substances touch your eye, such as make up or shampoo. During your initial consultation, your ophthalmologist will be able to tell you more about the directions you should follow after cataract surgery.
