As stated in the Employee Handbook Section 2-02 (2) Probation: • Probationary Period Except for employees specifically designated as at-will, all recently hired employees shall fulfill a probationary period. During probation, such employees may be terminated at any time, with or without cause or prior notice, for any reason or no reason at all. • Full-time/Regular and Part-time/Regular/Benefited employees, excluding certified police and fire protection employees, are subject to a six month probationary period. • Full-time/Regular certified police and fire protection employees are subject to a one year probationary period.
