How long is the Pre-Service Training?
The pre-service training commitment is 12 hours a week for a total of 36 hours. The sessions will be supplemented with relevant articles and observations of classes in session and reflection and discussion of topics. The pre-service training will be delivered in a variety of formats: face-to-face in small groups, online, and on-site at a school. The trainers for the pre-service training will be educators with expertise in secondary environments and in pre-service training. The plan is to develop a train-the-trainer model for future use in the adjunct teacher model.
