How long is the life of geobattery system?
The Geobattery system is a significantly improved geothermal heat pump system in part because of the enhanced geothermal heat exchange. Geobattery system uses a heat-pump component equivalent to the conventional geothermal system either ‘DX’ or water-source based. Hence, The life time of the geothermal heat pump should be equivalent to the conventional heat pump system (10-20 years or more). The external geothermal heat exchange system differs from the conventional system by utilizing a Geobattery based on the heat depot theory. Geobattery system uses non-corrosive materials like poly ethylene glycol. The longevity of the Geobattery system is projected to be 50-100 years similar to water based geothermal heat exchange system.
