How long is the Key Point Academy program?
Many students’ show progress at a different rate. The typical scale that has proven true for the duration of a child in Key Point Academy is based on the severity of a child’s issues. Issues that are severe would include: Depression, substance abuse, negative peer association, defiance, behavioral problems, and emotional problems. If these issues have gone on for more than 8 months then the time we provide is recommended. The length of the Key Point Academy program is typically for 6 months. However, it is recommended that each child goes home when he/she is ready. We employ a mandatory 6 month minimum stay in our program. However, the average length that students reside in our facilities is approximately 9 months. The length of stay for your child will depend upon his/her goals and success in the program.
