How long is the detox process?

The drug detox process is largely dependent on what drugs or alcohol you were using as well as the amount ingested. Depending on your threshold as well as tolerances for your drugs or drink of choice each detoxification will be different. Typically the drug and alcohol detox process can be an accomplished from seven to 10 days, and many times can be much shorter, once again depending on the factors of your addiction. The detox process is our initial “first step” of getting the client to stop daily use of drugs or alcohol. Many clients will still need the full 30 to 60 days to treat the underlying causes of drug and alcohol abuse to help them stay clean for the rest of their lives.
