How Long is News Archived?
Reuters news stories are archived for seven days. The archiving process is continuous and occurs after each fresh update of stories. Included is a news search capability which helps you find archived stories quickly and easily. If you’re looking for stories that are more than a week old, please check our Full Coverage section for an archive of sources on major news stories. Also, Lexis-Nexis offers their news archives for a fee, and you can find many other services in our News and Media category. Unfortunately, we cannot provide Reuters stories that are more than seven days old.
Yahoo! News provides a limited archive of articles for you to browse. In technology news, sources are archived for the following lengths of time: • Reuters: Seven days • Wired: Seven days • ZDNet News: One month • PC Week, Interactive Week & MacWEEK: 7 to 14 days, depending on how many new stories come in. The archiving process is continuous and occurs after each fresh update of stories. To read archived news, use the date links at the bottom of the index page for each source. To see news from last month, you’ll need to click back through the dates, one week at a time.
