Forty days and Forty nights from Ash Wednesday to Easter Sunday, Sundays not counted toward the forty days and forty nights. I believe that since Lent causes people to be cranky, and being cranky is unrighteous, and being unrighteous is sinful, then Lent is an occasion of sin.
