How Long is Chicken Pox Contagious?
The amount of time people with chicken pox are contagious varies. Usually a person with chicken pox is contagious one to two days before breaking out with blisters and remains contagious until all of the chicken pox blisters are scabbed over. This is normally a week or less making the total time a person is contagious nine days or less on average. Chicken pox is extremely contagious through direct contact, droplet transmission and through the air as well.
