How long is Brad Keselowskis contract with Penske?
Brad was actually signed to a multi-year contract according to several sources (see links). The exact details of NASCAR driver contracts are always a closely guarded secret, as you are most likely aware. However, there is widespread speculation that the latter year(s) of Brad’s contract include escape clauses or other conditional exclusions to allow Brad to move to Hendrick Motorsports in the event of a vacant seat in the HMS stable. Much of the speculation is based upon statements made by Rick Hendrick himself, who was quoted in August 2009 saying, “He’s a heck of a talent. He’ll never be far enough away that I can’t find him and bring him back.” Further, Penske does plan to move 23-year-old development driver Justin Allgaier up to their Cup program at some point. All of these factors made for a perfect, if temporary, fit for Brad at Penske racing for 2010 and perhaps beyond.
