How long is approval granted for?
Approval by the Animal Ethics Committee will normally be granted for a maximum period of three years. Each Animal Research Authority however is only valid for 12 months and will need to be renewed (by submission of a Progress Report) if approval is to be extended for a further 12 months. A Progress Report must be submitted before the current Animal Research Authority expires.
