How long is Ambassador Family Initiative pre-service training and what does it entail?
32 Hours. Our Ambassador Family Initiative training is a one-of-a-kind, Christian-based curriculum that has eight modules designed to help build a relationship between you and Arrow Child & Family Ministries and determine if a partnership with each other will be good. You will start with an Orientation to our agency, and then sign up to join a graduating class. We make this time as intimate as possible – you will only be with other new families and will all go through the training as one group from start to finish. By the time you are fully trained, you will have bonded with the others in your class and have an instant support network and “family” members to lean on. You will receive training on Communication, Child Development, Separation & Loss, Sexual Abuse, Behavior Modification, Strengthening Family Relationships, Standards & Professional Documentation, Restraints, and Medication & Universal Precautions.
