How long is a Septic Permit valid?
Once the septic permit is issued, it is valid for two years. The permit can be renewed annually thereafter by paying the annual renewal fee. As long as the annual renewal fee is paid, the permit remains valid indefinitely. If a septic permit expires, a new permit can be issued only if the parcel meets current standards and the full septic permit fee is paid.
