How long is a sanitary permit good for and can it be renewed?
A sanitary permit is valid for two years from the date of issuance. The property owner/agent may renew a permit following written application to the Code Administration office and submittal of the proper fee. The renewal shall be based on current code requirements in force at the time of renewal and changed requirements may impede renewal. If a sanitary permit is not renewed prior to expiration, a new permit would be required to complete any desired POWTS installation.
