How long is a prescription valid for when it comes to preemployment drug test?
the prescription has no expiration date ever. you could have the precription for many years, and they cannot tell you anything about it or not hire you. i have a prescription for flexiril as a muscle relaxant and hydroco substitute for ultram, and they are narcotic. these i have had since 2004 and everytime i get drug tested and rank positive, they check my prescription label and ask me that why i still have them, and all i tell the is i have a high tolerance for pain and tell them that they cannot do a damn thing about it. usually if you can prove it to them, they really can’t go any further with the issue. so in short, if you have prescription drugs, and you get tested, don’t worry about it one bit, you have written proof, and the drug administrators can’t do a damn thing about it.
