It’s determined by the brewer how long the shelf is before taste is compromised. I would guess 5 months is okay as long as it was kept at a constant cold temperature. Find the brewery’s customer service number and ask them what shelf life they say, but let your palate be the judge. If it tastes off, then it is! BTW, no keg beers are pasteurized, that’s why they have to stay cold. Pasteurizing is just for bottled beer.

yea man return that… its a beer youve tried before right, if it tastes off should be able to get your money back or a replacement… calling the brewer is a great idea…

I am not a real expert but call the brewer and ask them. I know if we have a keg of reg beer too long in the cooler I make the driver take it back. I’m a bartender in WA state. We can’t buy kegs like that from our grocer. State Controlled. Anyway really I would call the brewer, if it’s skunky they will have you return it and maybe they will give ya a few freebees. Either way have fun and be safe.
