How long is a IEC work permit valid for?
On presentation of your valid Letter of Introduction to a port-of-entry officer, you will be issued with a Work Permit that will be valid for up to 12 months from the date you enter Canada . You are responsible for checking the Work Permit carefully to ensure you understand the information on it. Please address any concerns or questions you have regarding the Work Permit immediately with the issuing port-of-entry officer. Please note that work permits obtained through the Youth Mobility Program may not be extended.
