How long is a Gemba consulting engagement?
A Lean manufacturing or Lean office “transformation” lasts between 6 months and 24 months. Although we always achieve results rapidly, our job is not done until we can walk away and be sure that the kaizen impact will sustain and continue without us. This requires changing the culture in many cases and how long this takes can vary. We have established relationship with some of our clients that have lasted over 7 years. While we aim to make our clients and self-sufficient and work ourselves out of a job, we continue to increase our skills and raise the bar for clients.
