How long is a compost extract good for?

0

An Actively Aerated Compost Extract (AACE) should be used as close to its peak biological bloom time as possible. Once the microbial foods are consumed, numbers of beneficial bacteria and fungi will decrease at an ever-increasing rate. However, if kept well aerated it can keep for up to five days, temperature dependent. The cooler you can keep your AACE after the brewing period, the better it will stay “good”. The cooler temperature will slow the microbial degradation after the peak bloom has occurred. If you remove the air input to your extract, it will stay aerobic for up to 8 hours, temperature and container dependent.
