How long have you been a Starsky & Hutch fan?
I’m a first generation fan. I loved it back in my junior high school days, but when it went off the air, I never saw another episode until January of 2005 when I bought the DVDs and fell in love with it all over again. It not only brought back my love for the characters but a nostalgia for crop shirts, feathered hair, platform shoes and all those gaudy colors (olive, harvest gold, russet orange, etc. ) of the 70s. It’s amazing how you can look at a wicker fan-back chair or a console TV and somehow find them strangely attractive! • What drew you to the show, then kept you coming back for more? Originally, (back in the 70s,) I watched it because it was “something to watch.” Then I saw the episode “The Fix” and two things happened simultaneously — I developed a major crush on David Soul and I realized that the characters shared something amazing that I’d never seen displayed on TV before.
